There always comes a time in our lives when we consider change. If it hasn't happened yet, it will. Most of the time, it is the bathroom that is changed. If you are not only changing the bath, basin and shower taps, you are going to the extreme and breaking everything down and replacing them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with change.
Like any other part of the house, people look for a certain theme in their bathroom. Some prefer the Italian bathroom theme, others prefer an exotic theme and then you get those that prefer an antique theme. The first thing that gets ripped out besides the bath is the old bathroom vanity. This is then replaced with a new antique bathroom vanity.
No matter what you come up with, you will always find design ideas somewhere. Maybe while paging through a magazine or changing channels on the television, there is always some inspiration that gets you going and wanting something different in your life. While you are busy sorting out the bathroom vanity, you might also come up with an idea for that old shower curtain and that half-rotten medicine cabinet.

No matter what you do, there is only one way your bathroom can end up looking good, and that is the way you imagined it. The other things that you should consider since you are changing everything around are the taps. You are looking for a more antique feel, so you are going to have to look for antique-style taps. Knowing that these do not come cheap, there are many stores that offer discount faucets at affordable prices.
All you have to do is look around at a few prices. Something that will really complement your antique bathroom vanity is the vanity lighting. It can be a real nuisance when the only light you have when busy in front of the mirror is the one hanging on the ceiling in the middle of the bathroom. When you stand in front of the mirror, your head is blocking the light and casting your shadow in the mirror and it is hard for you to make out what you are trying to see.
At last this can all stop and you can have the bathroom you for so long wanted. Since you are going for the antique theme, the vanity tops are the other things you should look at. You should determine where you are going to have these. Is it only going to be under your wash basin or are you finally going to stretch it from one wall to the other?

This is your chance for you to do what you always wanted. You should not be forced to live with a standard bathroom because you have to. It is your bathroom, and this is the place where your thoughts get the better of you. Take that step and make the change. You will not only surprise yourself, but everybody else that will be using the bathroom in the future.
